Why aren't my settings saving?

If you chose the "Cookies" storage option,? your settings probably aren't saving because you don't have cookies enabled.

To enable cookies in Firefox, follow these steps:

  1. If you're on Windows, open the Tools menu, then choose Options.
If you're on a Mac, open the Firefox menu, then choose Preferences.
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. Under Cookies, make sure "accept cookies from sites" is checked.

To enable cookies in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Tools menu, then Internet Options.
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. Slide the slider to Medium High or lower.

To enable cookies in Safari, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Safari menu, then choose Preferences.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Under Accept cookies, make sure "only from sites you navigate to" or "always" is checked.

What are "storage types"? Why don't I always see this option?

The Storage Type allows you to choose how you want your settings to be saved. This option only shows up if you're logged in.

Choose the "Cookies" option if you only want to save your settings temporarily. The settings will be saved on your computer using cookies. If you clear the cache or the cookies in your browser, your settings will be reset.

Choose the "Account" option if you want your settings to be recognized every time you log in, even when you're not at your own computer. You can go anywhere and your settings will be there as long as you're logged in.

This setting only shows up when you're logged in. If you're not logged in, you'll be forced to use cookies.

What are the Snowager and Deadly Dice alerts?

These alerts tell you when the Snowager is asleep and when Count Von Roo is awake. The Snowager alert shows up while he's sleeping (see our guide for the times). The Deadly Dice alert shows up from midnight to 1 AM NST.

If you don't want to see the alerts, just disable them and they will never show up.
