![]() All About Neomail ~ By Cookie
So you finally stumbled onto neomails huh? Well, neomails are the ways of communication on Neopets. Now you can get neomails for various reasons, sometimes for a friend, sometimes for guild invitations, and sometimes for warning from TNT. Of course, the last one, you don't want to get because that means that you've done something that TNT thinks you need to be aware of.
Friends If you're an active user on the neoboards, or know a lot of people, you may get neomails from them. Sometimes though, you might get random neomails from people asking to be your friend. If you honestly don't like this, you have complete ability to block anyone from neomailing you. ![]() Guild Invitations Sometimes when you go out advertising on the guild boards that you are looking for a guild, people will send you an invite. This also comes into handy if you are trying to join a guild that if private. Unfortunately, the only way to join private guilds is by getting an invite. ![]() However, even if you specifically request not to be sent guild invites, some still do. So be warned when posting about needing a guild. ![]() Help When you go into some boards, people may randomly neomail you asking you for help with getting something they want. They may bluntly ask for your neopoints, or they might sneakily ask you. Either way, in order not to get scammed, I would suggest never doing anything like this! ![]() Spam Of course, with any sort of mailing system, there are always those few who feel the need to spam. Spam stands for - Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages, and most(if not all) people do not like receiving them. Unfortunately, you honestly can't avoid them unless you disable neomailing. ![]() Warning If you ever do anything that is against TNT's rules, or they feel was too close to being against, you will receive a warning via your neomail. Generally, it will explain what you did, and what they think you should review in order not to do it again. Sometimes, these are inaccurate, but to be sure and not get one, always follow the rules ![]() So that's all there really is to know about neomailing, so go on, why don't you try it out for yourself? :P |
