Game Ratings
Fun Rating: 7/10. This is yet another one of those games that takes a while to get going. Things really don't get challenging, I find, until the 300 point level. After that, it's fairly entertaining.

NP Rating: 10/10. I say that because it takes just 1,000 points to get 1,000 np. All it takes is 4 minutes and 18 seconds of gameplay, fast fingers and patience and you're set!

Overview
Holy cow, Garin! How are you ever going to stop those bloody pirates that never die? By setting small goals in the way of points, and continually adding obstacles, such as cannons and water? Sounds great! Basically, in this game, you will pretend that your name is Garin, and you will pair up with your buddy Jacques to tackle those invading pirates!

Concept
You kill the pirates that try to come aboard your ship. Simple, right? Wrong! Because these pirates never end! Now, there are a lot of parts to this game, all of which I will explain into full detail below. It's okay; you can handle it. Now let�s just walk through this game and see how things are done.

The Pirates
The main way to get points is by slashing up the pirates. There are six types of pirates with different point values. Do you smell a table coming along? I do!

Bonuses
You can double your attack score in this game by two ways:

Picking up a cannon on the left at knocking one of the pirates with it.

Picking up a bucket of water on the right and splashing one of the pirates with it.
Cannons and water count as a hit, but you get double the points. Therefore, if you hit Captain Scarblade with a cannonball, you would get ten instead of five points.

Add-ons
There are a few add-ons in this game.

Level One: No add-ons. Just slash the bad guys.

Level Two: You will now get access to cannonballs and a bucket of water. These always replenish, and you can use them to double your score against the pirates.

Level Three: In addition to the water and cannonballs, you will now also get three cannons that you must add cannonballs to. Do this, and Jacques will randomly light a cannon. If he lights it, and it has a cannonball, you will get 12 points. If he does and there isn't a cannonball, the cannon will set on fire. Go get a bucket of water to stop the fire. If the fire burns too long, you will lose one of your five lives.

How to Advance Levels
You can advance levels in this game by scoring a certain amount of points. Here is a table showing levels and how many points you need to beat that level.

Lives
You get five lives in this game. You can lose them one of two ways.

By allowing a pirate to run on board your ship (this happens when you take to long to kill him).
By allowing a cannon to burn for too long.

Tips

Once you have cannons, you will have to go in and out of them to attack the pirates. Move your fingers rapidly.

Keep all the cannons ready. At the beginning of each level, your cannons will be cleaned out, and you should restock them all as quickly as you can.

If a cannon sets on fire, quickly douse the flames with water or else you will lose a life!
