These are the rules of the NNoN Forums. Here's the rulebook that all our new members should have a look at! It's a bit worn-out from being read so much, but anyway...
1.Courtesy and Respect
Neo Nutters of Neopia is a safe community. We will not tolerate any profanity, swearing, insults, abusive, or obscene topics or posts. Do not harass anyone and try to keep cool in the debates. We expect you to use your common sense and to know what is right and what is wrong. If a moderator gives you a warning, edits your post, sends you a PM, etc., we expect you to be respectful and understanding. If you don't agree with a moderator, tell them why in a respective manner. Trust us, it's better to argue calmly than to go into a fit of rage.
ABSOLUTELY NO SWEARING! You will be warned, suspended, or banned. This includes finding ways around our swearing filters.
Do not post anything that could offend any person or group of people, such as racist and derogatory remarks (for example: "I hate you because ________", "You're fat/ugly/dumb/etc.").
Linking to unwanted sites -
- * Everything on the forum MUST BE G-RATED, including external links. Links to pornographic, R-rated, racial, sexual, profane, or otherwise inappropriate sites are prohibited.
* Links to any "cheat" programs that help you to easily earn items, Neopoints, etc. (including autobuyers, autorefreshers, auto-adopters, etc.) that help with your Neopets account are not allowed.
* Links to any sort of spyware or virus sites (including trojans, cookie grabbers, or any other programs that can harm your computer) are prohibited.
* Links to any sites that offer free products, free money, or other free items are not allowed.
2.Spam
Spam is not allowed. SPAM stands for Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. We consider posting excessively, posting several topics, etc., as spam. This is another rule where we expect you to use your common sense.
- * No double posting. This means you can't make two or more posts in a row on the same topic.
* Stick to the topic. Don't start talking about things that aren't about the topic. If you want to talk about different things, just make a new topic.
* Don't bump topics. This means that you can't make a topic go to the top of a forum by saying something like "bump". Don't bump topics than 6 months old or only a few hours old.
* Don't use less than 3 words in a post. Smilies do not count as a word.
* Don't use too many smilies. You can use up to 10 smilies in short posts, and they can't all be next to each other, like this:
:D:(;):P:):D:)* No chatspeak. No TAlKing LiKe THis!11 excessively. Occasional misspellings are fine, please do not misspell your whole post, making it is completely impossible to know what you're saying.
3.Privacy
- * For your own safety, do not give out any personal information such as your phone number, address, full name, etc.
* Do not give out OR try to get users' passwords to Neopets accounts, emails, forum usernames, or other services. Giving out or obtaining passwords will get you suspended.
4.Avatar/Signature Rules
- - Your avatar should not be larger than 100 x 100 pixels.
- Your signature must be no larger than 500 pixels in width and 200 pixels in height.
- Signatures must be 5 lines or less.
- You may link to other sites as long as they follow the COURTESY AND RESPECT rules.
- You may have up to 2 marquees in your signature. Each marquee may only take up one line each. No images in marquees
