Day 9

Yay - yet another day to turn our brains into hopeless goo while doing this plot eh? *rejects homework and sighs* Anyway, let's begin. Today, it'll be a bit harder and more confusing so stick with me kay? :) Kay.

Click the Colleseum near the top of the city walls.

The mighty Colosseum of Altador is an ancient arena that is home to many contests, tournaments, and feats of physical prowess.
Welcome to the beautiful colloseum. Click any of the windows as shown in the above image. If you choose the wrong window you're greeted with some ugly stone walls, if you choose the correct one you are greeted with more ugly stone walls, and an ugly grarrl aswell:

"Psst... hey, you. You look like someone who'd be interested in joining..." He glances around furtively and whispers. "Punch Club. And before you do, you have to remember that the first rule of Punch Club is that you don't talk about Punch Club... unless someone asks, then you can talk about it. Just don't bring it up. Unless you overhear someone else talking about it, because, like, they clearly already know about it." He nods, agreeing with himself. You get the impression that this Grarrl is not entirely stable.
This guy often moves around, so you might have to look for him somewhere else again. Click the option that says, "Go with him to the punch club."

In a secluded alley behind the Colosseum are gathered a group of Neopets... This is Punch Club.

"Would you like some punch?"

Perhaps you should try some punch. You don't want to be rude.

Click all the punch until you can click the golden goblet in the middle. Try using different combinations of clicking, (Like first, first, first or first, first, second, or first second third, etc.) Mine worked for 1-1-3.

You get to view the beautiful goblet now. Simply click the crest in the middle to reveal your next constellation.

Head over to the Archivist. He has a little something to say, nothing much, just for the curious.

The archivist says, "Another clue, on a drinking vessel? How strange... I don't think any of our heroes are called 'The Thirsty' or anything like that. I wonder what that shape is... Well, you'd better go find the constellation."

Return to your Telescope to plot your next constellation. To get your coordinates, Click here. If you want to find the coordinated immediatly Plug them in here. Your finished constellations should look like this:

Yay! More bragging galore! Teehee, this is my favorite part. Bah, other than that, just more repeating, I suppose. Return to the Hall of Heroes and take a look at the ceiling above the Gladiator statue.

Janitor: The janitor shouts, "Punch Club?! You went to Punch Club without me?! RAARGHHR! I LOVE PUNCH!! I WISH I HAD SOME RIGHT NOW!!!" He foams at the mouth and growls incoherently.

Astronomy Club: The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room... except the club president, who ignores you completely and mutters imprecations under his breath.
A couple of the other club members--the Wocky and the Korbat--come over to you. They motion you over to a corner of the room. "Listen, we're all pretty unhappy with how the club president is running this place. I mean, we can do what we want, mostly, but he's just really grouchy and being a jerk lately. We just wanted to let you know that, um..." She glances around furtively. "He may not be the club president for much longer, if you know what I mean." She winks meaningfully at you, then goes back to her star charts.

Archivist: The archivist says, "Ah, of course, I should have recognized it. A shield, for Torakor, the Gladiator. And found at the Colosseum, no less. Of course, the Book of Ages has gained a new chapter."
"Now, this is very important, so pay attention. I've delved even deeper into the magics that have stolen our history, and I've realised that they seem very familiar. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I've definitely seen magic like this before. The problem is that what the magics most remind me of are... well... I don't know who, specifically, but I believe they are similar to magics wielded by one of the Heroes of Altador. I don't know who, though; all of the Heroes use magic to some degree or other, and I don't know if I can identify who, precisely, might have created the magic in question here."
He sighs. "The problem, of course, is that if one of the Heroes is responsible for the magics that have stolen our history... well, that would be a great tragedy. Imagine! Another betrayer among the ranks of the Heroes! But who could it be?"

So, the club president, is most likely getting fired. The huge hint is that, the new president is you! The janitor of course is as angry as always, but the Archivist has a bit of important news. Another betrayer? Besides the darkest faerie herself? Maybe... the magic put on her wasn't as strong as it should be if you catch my drift. Anyway, let's look at our ever so exciting book again. We now have a new chapter, pages 28 - 31.

Chapter 7
The Gladiator

Physical strength, coupled with a strong sense of virtue, is often lacking in this world. One who steps forward and demonstrates both will quickly become a legend. Such is the tale of Torakor, the Gladiator.

In the old days, armies often collided, at a great cost of money and lives. Sometimes, to spare those costs, each army would send forth its greatest warrior and let a one-on-one battle decide the victor. A Grarrl named Torakor was the strongest warrior in one such army, and he won many victories for his commanding general. With Torakor faithfully at his side, the general thought his army to be invincible, and decided to expand his territories. Torakor was troubled by this, but who was he to question his leader?

One day, the army came to a small village the general wanted to conquer. His huge army surrounded the village, and he shouted a challenge to the townsfolk. "Who will face my champion? Send forth your greatest warrior, or bow before me!" All was silent until a quivering Shoyru stepped forward, armed with only a garden hoe. The army burst into laughter--except Torakor. He approached the Shoyru, then turned to face his own army.

"I will fight for them," Torakor stated. "Step forth, any who think they can best me in battle."

His general shouted, enraged. "Eliminate this traitor, at once!"

Mortified by the order to attack one of their own--thousands against one, no less--the warriors lost confidence in the general's leadership, just as Torakor had. One by one, the soldiers joined the Grarrl, facing outward from the village. Torakor, through strength of virtue alone, had won his own army.

Word spread quickly of a mighty army that protected villages instead of sacking them. It wasn't long before Torakor received a letter, informing him that a new city could use an army such as his. Torakor gladly accepted.
