Day 6

Half a dozen days we've been working on this mini-plot, eh? I could hardly say it's mini, but let's get a move on, shall we?

A new area has come up! The Altador farm. Here is what you have to click to get it from the main map:

Farmer Follies eyes you as you approach. "Well howdy there," he says. "You're from the city, eh? I've got a ninth cousin there, works as a janitor, maybe you know him."

Do we know him. Ah do we know him. Anyway, click the door of the windmill as shown in the above image. We're not greeted with the inside of the barn house. Very friendly eh?

This old windmill is how Farmer Follies turns wheat into grain.

Ooo, look! A shiny lever! I wanna pull! Ehem, pull the lever.

You try to force the windmill's blades to turn, in an attempt to blow excess wheat away from the field.

Farmer Follies runs into the windmill, shouting at you. "WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!" He slaps your hand away from the windmill machinery.

Ah, I see grumpy butt genes run in this family. Honestly, they need to learn how to control their temper, not fun people to be around. Anyway, click the window to look outside.

Click any of the mounds of hay to reveal your next constellation.

Take a quick visit to the Lenny Archivist.

The archivist says, "Ah, yes, a constellation representing Florin, the great Farmer of Altador. Truly, our land has flourished because of his wise oversight in bringing us foodstuffs." He turns away and coughs gently. "Um... it seems that I'm still having trouble finding any history books in the Archives. I'm beginning to suspect that some magic might be involved. But such magics do not bear the stain of the Darkest Faerie; I do not believe the missing history books are her doing. I think I shall investigate and see if any other history books can be found within Altador. The Archives are not the only store of knowledge here -- merely the largest, and most impressive!"

Once again, return to the Observatory in the Hall of Heroes. You will be finding yet another constellation. *groan* I know... Sorry guys! Go here and follow all directions. So far, if you've been following directions, you should've found 3 constellations.

That's what it should look like if you've gotten the correct constellation.

Wow, you've found your fourth constellation. Congrats! Now it's time to visit a few of your beloved friends to hear their insights on your new findings.

Quickly, before you do that, take a glance up at the ceiling of the statue of Florin to see the lights that light it up. Purdy ceiling! xD

Janitor: The janitor says, "It sure is interesting watching those lights on the ceiling light up. What are you getting up to in that observatory, anyway?"

Astronomy Club: The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room... except the club president, who seems a little upset. "Okay, we get it, you're a great astronomer. I mean, four constellations? So quickly? That's just... Are you sure you aren't... cheating, somehow? How could you know so much about the sky, when we've lived here all our lives and never been able to find any constellations?" he grumps. [I found this quite interesting, that the image has changed. Now, instead of looking happy, the president is looking quite grim, and unsatasfied.]

Archivist: The archivist says, "Ah, yes, a constellation representing Florin, the great Farmer of Altador. Truly, our land has flourished because of his wise oversight in bringing us foodstuffs."
He turns away and coughs gently. "Um... it seems that I'm still having trouble finding any history books in the Archives. I'm beginning to suspect that some magic might be involved. I think I shall investigate and see if any other history books can be found within Altador. The Archives are not the only store of knowledge here -- merely the largest, and most impressive!"
The archivist clears his throat. "Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I've made up a list for you here."

It's time once again, to look back at the book in the Altadorian Archives. Pages 16 - 19 are now readable!

Chapter 4
The Farmer

Not everyone who helped found Altador was a magical faerie, capable of using their natural gifts to help others. In fact, one of the most notable of all the founders was a simple farmer with a good heart...

Florin had lived his whole life on a small farm. Each day he rise with the sun, to tend his crops and feed the Petpets he raised on his farm. Though Florin worked hard from dawn to dusk, he greatly enjoyed his simple life. One day, while going into town to buy more Petpet feed, Florin noticed a group of farmers talking. Apparently, some strange blight was afflicting their crops, and unless something was done, a whole season of food would be lost.

Florin asked one of the farmers to show him one of these sick plants. The farmer led Florin to his nearby field, a third of which had been consumed by some terrible disease that had turned the plants black.

Florin had spent much of his life studying plants. Though his own crops were unaffected, he spent days trudging through dangerous woods, looking for a rare plant that few knew existed.

Days later, as the villagers were just about ready to give up hope, Florin returned, carrying a satchel that was filled with a strange herb they had never seen before. The Kacheek quickly ground up the dry herbs and mixed them into a large trough of water. He then instructed the other farmers to take a bucket and pour the water onto their afflicted plants. Within days, the blight had vanished, and though Florin's own crops wilted from neglect, the villagers were more than happy to share their crops with him.

Tales of his selfless deed soon reached others, and that is how Florin came to meet King Altador and become the future overseer of the kingdom's plentiful farms.

Hope you enjoyed another edition of the plot yalls, we'l stick through with you through the next 8 constellations. Have fun!
