Weapon Suggestions

This is a basic weapon suggestion guide for people new to the Battledome. This guide will give you tips on recommended weapons - weapons that are cheap for the amount of icons they deal.

The following categories will go under offensive, defensive, bombs, freezing and healing.

Note: This guide is for the general use of the Neopian public. It does not list species-specific weapons, as not everyone would be able to use the items.

Price Range - 50k NP:

Lost Desert Dagger - Lowest Price: 13k -16k NP
Description: This weapon does a solid 6 icons, good for intermediate and beginner battlers. It does 3 earth and 3 fire so it will be less easy to block. Although earth is the most commonly blocked icon out there so don't expect to do your max amount of damage each time.

Scarab Stone Slingshot - Lowest Price: 12k - 15k NP
Description: This weapon does a constant 6 icons. This weapon is almost identical to the Lost desert dagger, but it does 4 icons of earth and 2 icons of light. The light icons are almost always going to hit considering that light is a less common icon that is blocked, but your earth, like mentioned before, may not always be your strongest.

*Hand Painted Scarab - Lowest Price: 8k - 10k NP
Description: This weapon does around 4 - 5 icons since it's downgrade. It isn't as majestic as it was before, but it is still good. It does 3 different types of icons, (fire, light and air) plus it defends some physical and water. Of course the defense is affected by your pet's defense stats.

Price Range - 1,000,000 NP:

Dark Battle Duck - Lowest price: 750k - 850k NP
Description: Yet another weapon TNT has downgraded. It has also been steadily rising in price since it was first released, but, it is still a good weapon. This weapon does a steady 8 icons, 3 dark and 5 water icons. The dark is almost gauranteed to damage your opponent, the water a little less, but the chances are unlikely. You pay, give or take a few thousand, 100k for each icon, not bad for an 8 icon weapon.

Florbix Blaster - Lowest Price: 650k - 750k NP
Description: Formerly known as Jet Pack, the florbix blaster does approximately 8 icons. It does 3 water, 2 air, and 3 earth. Because of the variety of the icons it is hard to block and well worth every penny. Unless TNT goes on another downgrade spree, don't expect to see this dropping in price any time soon.

Sinsis Sword - Lowest Price: 600k - 700k NP
Description: This weapon does about 6 - 9 icons. The reason it is this is because the physical attack is random depending on how strong your pet is. Otherwise, normally, it does 2 fire, 2 wind, 2 light, and approximately 1 - 3 physical icons. Worth it's money, although you may want to save up a little more to get a florbix blaster or DBD.

Price Range - 50k NP:

Downsize! - Lowest Price: 1,800 - 2,000 NP
Description: This would have to be a must have for all battlers that cannot afford a Thyora's Tear. This has to be ranked as one of the best items ever. It blocks 50% of all icons no matter what, it's a once per battle use, so use it wisely. Not as good as a T-tear but it's an awesome defense item for newbies and veterans alike.

Leaf Shield - Lowest Price: 1,000 - 2,000 NP
Description: Very popular, and very widely used shield. One of the only shields that is worth getting, it may depend on your defense, but it blocks the three most common icons out there, water, earth, and physical. Definately a good buy if you're looking for a shield.

Virtupets X-514 Super Shield - Lowest Price: 39k - 41k NP
Description: Very, very good shield. The next step up from a leaf shield. It's capable of blocking dark, earth, light, physical and water icons. This shield just keeps getting better as you get stronger. Definately an asset for a defensive lower to middle class fighter.

Price Range - 50k NP:

Mud Mixture - Lowest Price: 40 - 70 NP
Description: Even the poorest of the poor can buy this weapon. (well sort of...) It does 5 - 6 icons depending on how strong your pet is and it heals 1 - 5 hp. It's a great asset to newbie battlers that want something to start out with a bang when there first fighting the chia clown. Plus, it's well worth it at the price.

Caustic Potion - Lowest Price: 150 - 175 NP
Description: The original mud mixture, identical to it, but more expensive, by what, 60 - 70 np? Either one is fine, but if you really need the np, go for the mud mixture.

Illusen's Earth Potion - Lowest Price: 2,000 - 2,500 NP
Description: Great bomb, a step lower than a honey potion, this potion packs quite a punch for it's price. This weapon does 7 - 9 icons, very reliable if you want to start headstrong in a fight, although you may want to save it for later when your opponent isn't expecting it.

Price Range - 1,000,000 NP:

Honey Potion - Lowest Price: 400k NP
Description: Honestly the best bomb under 1 mil. Although the price has escaladed since the war has started so I would recommend waiting, unless you really need one, to buy this when it's back at 400k. Very good bomb, it does approximately 14 - 16 icons of damage, 13 earth and 3 physical. Even if they are guarding earth, unless they're using sink or burrow, you should still hit them with quite a lot of icons.

Price Range - 50k NP:

Fiery Gaze - Lowest Price: 3k - 5k NP
This is a faerie ability.
Description: I know this isn't a weapon, but if you need the ability to freeze and you don't have a lot of dough, this is the way to go. Not 100% reliable but it gives you the chance of freezing. Plus it can do some fire damage. You can only get this through the first fire faerie ability.

Snowglobe Staff - Lowest Price: 3,000 - 4,000 NP
Description: Not entirely reliable as it can give you some many varieties of results, this is the item to get for a lower to middle class battler that can't afford an H4000 Helmet, formerly known as the hypno helmet.

Price Range - 50k NP:

Slime Potion - Lowest price: 2,500 - 3,000 NP
Description: Heals ten HP. Not much more to say, good for newbie battlers that can't upgrade to a bronze scorchstone.

Bronze Scorchstone - Lowest Price: 13k - 14k NP
Description: Upgraded Slime Potion, heals fifteen HP. Great for newbie battlers. If your HP is any higher than this upgrade to a blue scorchstone.

Blue Scorchstone - Lowest Price: 99k NP
Description: Way overpriced, but so are most scorchstone. Although this is as good as it gets as scorchstones are priced. They heal 30 hp.
