What is the Advent Calendar?
The Advent Calendar is an annual giveaway from Neopets. During the Month of Celebrating (December), the Advent Calendar gives out various prizes every day.
Prizes include varying amounts of Neopoints, new items, and avatars. The item prizes greatly vary in type; in the past, users have received books, toys, petpets, petpet paintbrushes, food, furniture, and gardening items. Neopets generally gives out two items a day; however, some days may only yield one item. On a couple of days in 2003, Neopets gave out a different item at different times of day.
The Winter Sidebar
In 2005, Neopets released a new sidebar, the Winter Sidebar. It is available annually on December 31, but you have to meet certain requirements to receive it. No one knows exactly what the requirements are, but we recommend collecting your prizes everyday and making sure you have the Plastic Fir and Seasonal Attack Pea avatars.
